Words cannot due justice to the love I feel for these boots. My feet are a just a smidge wider than average and I have athletic calves, so boot shopping can be a nightmare. These boots run a bit on the wide side, as my wide-but-not-wide-enough-for-wide-side feet had plenty of room in these, and the shaft comes just under that troublesome ball of my calf -- the perfect height -- without being too tight or too loose on the rest of my leg. I love that the shaft is asymmetrical, it really adds a little edge. These look great with skinny jeans and have a good amount of arch support. Heel is the pretty much the perfect height for a little boost that's comfortable to walk in all day. A quick note on color. I actually bought these in-store at Nordstrom, not from Amazon, and out of the box they're not a very dark brown at all. They're more of a dull medium brown, a maple-ish color. If you're looking for a nice, dark, rich brown, rub in a couple layers of leather conditioner and these babies will darken up beautifully.And one more quick note on the smooth leather sole. I wasn't a fan, so I took it to my neighborhood cobbler and had them add a rubber half sole. Looks great, walks even better, I highly recommend having it done.

these boots r more then perfect!! very comfy, very resistent, really great looking,fits true to size. expensive but worth it !!

The boots look great and are very comfortable. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the smooth sole. I pray they dont turn out to be slippery on wet roads.
